The Swiss Grid was a Poster House exhibition that launched at the end of February 2020—ten days after the opening, the museum shut down shortly due to COVID-19. KUDOS translated the exhibition design by The Graphics Office and the catalog of posters into a remote-learning tool for Poster House, a microsite that supported the Education Department with additional historical and pedagogical context for some of the technical teachings of design.

With the opportunity to become an interactive and digital exhibition for newly remote education, KUDOS and Poster House expanded upon the gallery sections—The Grid System, Before the Grid, Swiss Style, Why Switzerland?—and infused commentary by Audrey Bennett, Ramon Tejada, Kelly Walters, and Shani Sandy, and created interactive moments—What if We Altered the Grid?—and developed homework assignments that students can submit to. The microsite engages with contemporary attitudes toward teaching mid-century Modernism and the contrasting desire to break free of and find new use for grid systems in contemporary design.

Awarded the GDUSA American Graphic Design Award.
